这首歌曲比较心领神会，单纯翻译很难解释。Noel说这首歌曲主要想表达的是希望自己有能力离开家乡，去寻找更美好地方开创属于自己的人生的一首歌。当时他还没成名，正对自己未来感到苦闷，充满疑惑。

city、town、island、You can't give me the dreams这些都应该说的是他自己的家乡。half the world away我也没办法准确的去翻译，我想应该是去到是很远的地方（远到像地球另外一边），但有时候听歌曲也会觉得好像half the world away是在叹息自己的一半的青春时间已经远去……反正不要太执着字眼翻译，更多要自己感受歌曲。
